These Terms of Service govern your use of the EnglishGo mobile application. Please read them carefully before using the app.
By downloading, installing, or using EnglishGo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app. These terms apply to all users including learners, teachers, and visitors.
EnglishGo is a marketplace platform that connects English language learners with qualified teachers for live video lessons. We provide:
To use EnglishGo you must be at least 13 years of age, provide accurate registration information, maintain the security of your password, and notify us immediately of any unauthorised account access. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Teachers on EnglishGo agree to provide accurate information about qualifications, conduct lessons professionally, not cancel without reasonable notice, maintain a safe learning environment, and comply with all applicable laws. EnglishGo reserves the right to remove teachers who violate these obligations.
Learners agree to attend booked lessons on time or cancel with reasonable notice, treat teachers with respect, not record lessons without explicit consent, and use the platform only for legitimate educational purposes.
All payments are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple's payment terms and refund policies apply. EnglishGo takes a 15% platform fee from teacher earnings. Credits are non-refundable once a lesson has been completed. For disputes, contact support@englishgo.app.
You must not use EnglishGo to share illegal or harmful content, harass other users, impersonate another person, distribute spam, attempt to hack the platform, or solicit learners to pay outside the platform.
All content on EnglishGo, including the app design, logo, and features, is owned by EnglishGo and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you create such as lesson notes and profile information.
EnglishGo is a marketplace platform. We are not responsible for the quality of individual lessons, teacher qualifications beyond what is displayed, or technical issues outside our control. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the past 12 months.
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your profile is removed within 30 days. Unused lesson credits are non-refundable upon voluntary deletion.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. For users in the European Union, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence also apply.
We may update these Terms of Service. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
